Cardiff City will not be renewing the Welsh international goalkeeper Wale, according to Sky sources.
The news comes after Sky Sports’ Chris Woods reported on Saturday that the Welshman had signed a new three-year contract at the Welsh capital.
Sky Sports’ Sky Sports News HQ have confirmed to ESPN FC that the former Wales international has decided to terminate his contract with the Welsh club.
The 27-year-old has made just four Premier League appearances for Cardiff this season and only two in all competitions for his national team.
He was the only Cardiff player to start every Premier League match for Wales last season.
Wale was capped 29 times by Wales and was part of Wales’ World Cup-winning squad in 2011.
