Firemen breathe by holding their breath for a period of time and then exhaling through the mouthpiece, which is attached to the neck.
What does it do?
A fireman’s breathing apparatus uses air pressure to blow air into a tube that goes into the mouth, through a mask, and into a breathing tube, which then comes out through a mouthpiece.
The device’s purpose is to simulate the natural breathing of a firefighting person.
Firemen usually use this type of apparatus when they are working on a fire.
They breathe through the mask as the tube passes through their throat.
The tube passes into their mouth through a tube in their mouth.
The tube is designed to be able to breathe air and water at the same time.
If the tube fails to hold the air in, the air is blown out.
A tube that holds air is known as a gasket.
The air is then blown into the tube through a nozzle and the tube exits through a ventilator that goes through a valve.
It then goes through another ventilating system and then out of the ventilators vent into the air.
A fireman who uses the apparatus is called a fire breathing apparatus operator.
The apparatus is usually mounted on the fire department’s apparatus building and includes a breathing mask, which usually contains a hose.
Firemen use the apparatus when a person is in danger or is in the process of leaving the scene of a serious fire.
It also is used when a firefighter is working on the front lines of a major fire.
A firefighter who uses a fire fighter breathing apparatus has the following duties:How do I breathe a fire man breathing apparatus?
A firefighter breathing apparatus must be able a) to breathe properly, b) to inhale air and breath out air, and c) to maintain proper air pressure.
The breathing tube must be designed to support the person and must not have holes.
The mouthpiece must be long enough to pass through the person’s mouth without being caught on anything, such as clothing or a person’s neck.
The apparatus must not be too large or heavy for a person to carry and must be capable of holding the person.
The fireman must wear a mask.
Fireman breathing apparatuses must have a venturi (the tube through which the air passes) that is at least 4 inches (10 centimeters) long and 1 inch (2 centimeters) wide.
The venturi must be wide enough to accommodate the mask.
The mask must be snug but not too tight.
The person must wear an approved breathing apparatus.
An individual must be supervised by a supervisor at all times.
If a firefighter fails to follow the rules, he or she could be subject to discipline.
